I'll go along with everyone else and say that June sucked. So far july has been good. I think I usually do better in july than june though (n. shore ma). got my two best fish of the year last night on consecutive casts. hopefully the trend will continue. we finally seam to be falling into a regular summer weather pattern.

Do you guys think that the reemergence of pogies and the concentration of bass on them is responsible for the crappy june most of us had, or the unstable weather, etc. ? just curious to here some theories.

I don't think i caught a single fish over 26 in. I also only fished about 5 times , but i put my time and hit productive spots at productive tides in those 5 nights. Moving and then going away for 2 weeks really put a damper on my fishing. haven't even wet a line in july yet...hopefully that will change this weekend. Going to try to scout some new spots in the tiverton area.

Have not been out much, but did my traditional spring trip to the Outer Cape in early June and the fishing was better than it has been on our previous spring trips in several years. Average numbers but well above average size.
