Mike, I like jiggin parachutes, not trolling umbrellas. I'd say for me its just as much fun as lite tackle (and one helluva workout!). I like it all. But hands down wire line jiggin "beats" lite tackle all day long. Especially on a warm July, August afternoon which is when I enjoy being out on my boat the most. In May when the boats are heading out the Breachway with a livewell full of Herring, I'm still in the Pond with my 8 lb test/ Sluggo catching schoolie after schoolie. Whos having more fun? I think luggin buckets of herring around is a pain in the ass and I barely have time to fish never mind chasing bait around with a net. Its just my personal preference. I've noticed fishermen have a similar progression in fishing styles and after alot of experience they seem to end up either flyfishing or lite tackle fishing. I'm closer to the beggining of my journey and still swinging for the fence . Plus you had fun wire lining big stripers and you know it!
