I turned the peise that holds the drum to the shaft turned it as one peise and cut it in half...left/right...used wood screws to mount it to the ends and a bolt to hold the shaft

It would be easy to enclose it on 3 sides and hinge the front with plexiglass,
add a couple of 60 watt light bulbs to maintain a warm temp for winter drying.
