Catching 35# fish while standing in the wash in mid sept.? Me on a 2 oz. white hab's.....Clogston on a herring atom jr. There were better nights and bigger fish but for some reason that last flurry that night was alot of fun.

Standing in pea soup fog in the dark out on chappy during the derby, 30 feet between shoulders, headlights running from and back to the water all down the beach. Thanks again to the bossman and the basic one.

This fish, that ate a yellow Gibbs pencil for the unluckiest of my kids, made for the best moment of my year.

Mine was......probably......the night I was fishing with Slingah and Joey G. local! They were slaying on eels for a couple hours side by side while I was laying them to waste on my "Prey" swimmers! They were catching them bigger than me but I can guarantee I was having more fun!!! Best part of my 07' was the results from that plug! She shines!

Memorable moment and a schoolie-- In the middle of the summer I took the family to Watch Hill for some shopping and some beach. At about 3:30, I was getting bored at the beach watching 500 people lying around. So I went back to the car to get a rod to practice retreiving my then new custom super strike bullet in the bunker pattern I got from Joe Lyons. I go about 30 yards from the crowd of swimmers and on the third cast I catch a schoolie. Well you would have thought I caught a sea monster.

My kids and around 50 other kids come running over like a stampede and want to look at the schoolie. Then my wife actually comes over and sees that I do in fact have the ability to catch a striper- which she had some doubt. Well it was my 5 minutes of fame during a hot afternoon at a crowded beach until I let him swim away. It was a happy family moment.

Was letting my 6yr old tango with the fish while i watched and laughed.... first 30" bass for my boy on a pocket rocket... 0 fish for dad that day... 1 bass and several blues landed for my son who wanted to follow the school around the corner and back up the river.. LOL......

Squid fishing with my wife, she couldnt get enough. Thats all she talks about now is how shes going to miss the squid run because she will be finishing her studies in poland. Also getting her on some blitzing blues and her first keeper

I had each of my nephews up from PA for a visit and trips to the Stiper surf, separately, last summer.

Best days were the days they hooked up ~my youngest with a 27" striper~my odlest neph with triple hookups within 5 mins. at a smallie and largie hole i know on the NShore. we caught and released 15 bass within 40 minutes. Those days were the best for me, passing the torch stuff..........and they gotts it baaaaaaad

Personally, my best time in the surf was NOT the night i released my first 30#'er. My most exhilarating and bittersweet night was the night last year when I experienced my first set-up on an eel, i lost the biggest monstah i've ever hooked, and realized that my honey hole is way more prolific than i first thought ~~all on the same fish.

This year ~SHOULD BE~ off of the charts, boyz!!!!

Don't even know where to begin, lots of great times and moments. Cutty? MV? 'Gansett? Blankety Blank Blank? - Maybe the best was watching my son tong Choggies in Jamestown
