Pretty good. Though I think there could still be a commercial harvest - I'd like to see maxed at 30% of current regs. This will allow some and still have commercial availability of the stuff you need Menhaden for (Omega 3, WD40  ) and not for the stuff you don't : fertilizer, cat food, machine oils...

I worry what they will use to fill the void in those materials.
Whats next, going further down the food wed and vacuuming out Krill to make WD40??? Then what happens? Since they aren't food for Striper's will it get the same opposition?

Theres plenty of other sources for omega oils like flax seed and blue green alage. Many of the Omega oils from menhaden are loaded with pcb's and mercury. Just got done reading Most important fish in the sea. Great book !!

I'm not privvy to all the details, but would guess the bill reached its current status due to some degree of pressure(and $$) from a large consituency. The anti saltwater license crowd should take note. Just my guess.
