I have somewhere's around 20 surfcasting books.
The Art of Surfcasting with Lures is the best.
I can tell that you love to fish.
Thanks for writing it.
I kinda wish you left in a few more Zenoisms.

Frasier: Niles, I’ve just had the most marvelous idea for a website! People will post their opinions, cheeky bon mots, and insights, and others will reply in kind!

Niles: You have met “people”, haven’t you?

Lets Go Darwin

Z's book is the best thing to come down the pike on bass fishing since the first edition of Woolner & Lyman's Striped Bass Fishing.

Period end of story.

Why even try.........

Good time for a shameless plug....

Try The Call Of The Surf from SRI Press....
The second edition of the first book about surfcasting, most of which takes place along the Jersey shore, when it was so remote and wild you had to bring a tent....$15.99 - free shipping from the dedicated site I made for it, or get it at SRI Books & Videos page

Seconded !!!!

The call of the Surf, Zeno's great book (which I will certainly be re-reading before April) and Striper Moon have been doing sterling service at keeping the (lack of) winter stripers and blues at bay......

All three have been very enjoyable reading.

Island

Although all of the stories are rooted in Nova Scotia, Alistair MacLeod's book "Island" is not a surfcasting book, and yet it tells fanstastic stories about the men of the fishing and mining communities of Cape Breton.

Its beautifully written. I can't recommend it more highly. I think it would strike a chord with just about everyone on this board, and it is perfect for the winter's musings.

Wow.....that is definitely unexpected.........but much appreciated.
If this book was read by someone with your experience ,I would be happy.
The fact you liked it is a cherry on the top
