I use the 3M finish restorer and wax. I think it does a fine job and lasted almost all season with just one coat. It really needs to be applied with a high speed polisher though.

boatless................can I have a ride?

The best that i have found for old chalky hulls would be to buff it with 3M medium rubbing compound then go after it with MaryKate Maxi-Wax.

I just think of my boat as a work vessel and say a hell with the wax. When I'm fishing in it I'm not looking at it. But if I did or was going to wax it it would be the 3m stuff. TaJon spoke of it.

the 3m compound is great stuff if you have a power buffer.
