Not sure, try both and then you'll know. I know the guys catching the most fish in Ct are doing so from boats. It can be tough to catch them from shore there from what I've been told.
you would be surprised at the amount of boats that are on that river.. i have been thinking of taking my Kayak with my waders and a dry top and attack them but man that sounds cold...... Tight lines in the winter= little line LOL
I fished right at the barrier, across from the warm water outflow. Now that I'm a little more familiar with the area I'll get as close to the warm water as possible. The bridge is supposed to be good too.
