I don't care if you copy it, hell, it is a pikie that everyone copies and also took a cue from Mike Fixter and Winch as to what we really need to use on the West Coast, then added the flair on the tail. My reason for that was I like my pikies tail to stay on the surface and by adding a little more wood (flotation device) on the back to keep the tail up.
Does it work any different? nope, just something I do to make it mine
