Fish and "true" fishermen LOVE crappy weather.
The fish love it because it churns up the surf, creating a smorgasborg of broken clams, crabs and wounded and dazed baitfish to feed on.
The fishermen love it because the fish love it, and the rookies and wankers don't want to fish in the rain.

Also keep an eye on the sky for lightening and on the surf for possible rouge waves. (NEVER turn your back on the ocean!)

Rain signifies passing of a weather front which usually means good fishing.
