There is a gentleman who fished the backside of Fisher's Island that had documented 55 fish over fifty pounds fishing commercially from that area over a long period of years. I knew his name once but age fogs my mind and I cannot recall it right now.

he,s the best i,ve seen ;;
But Jhonny Martani is right up there with him

He still does.He and his wife took 6 fish over 50 from one hole a couple years ago,in a week.I managed a 42.I have no qualms saying RayJ's WIFE,is a better fisherman than most.

It is his girlfriend, not wife. And she's having another great year.
I have been told no one has caught as many striped bass than RayJ. I have also been told Ray is the guy who started using scup instead of pogy. The Raider can put up fish.

I think we're talking about the same guy, Flap - but I seem to be suffering from early-onset Oldtimers Disease, too.
