Just cause you learn how to stuff a weight down a pogies throat and zip it's mouth shut, don't mean you have a better chance of getting a bass. You have to know where to drop it down in front of there face first. the guys doin it are killin the bass to sell anyways. so whats a few scraps left around. as we all have seen these fish are alive and well with pounds of lead and sticks in them when they are eventually caught and killed. Not like there floating up on beaches dead from yo-yo rigs.
Do all the dead discarded troller bycatch 40-50 pounders floating on the backside of the cape every year have lead and skewers in there gut?
