This is by far the best Fall run for me. We might be catching bass all the way up to Turkey Day this year

Catch and release + respecting Mother Nature will help keep Stripers in good numbers for our future generation to enjoy fishing as we do today.

Bump.
Curious to hear what guys are seeing now. My best guess is we're in the bottom of the 7th inning right now.(For quantities of large, that is) A couple good pushes of large have made their way past us and we're seemingly in a lull. I'm still getting good quality fish, but the quantities are less than 2-3 weeks ago. My best two weeks of fishing last year was October 11-25th, but things don't seem to be setting up for a repeat as of yet.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole

On the north shore, it feels like we're getting a no hitter thrown at us....

Besides almost breaking my back @ 1 am this morning crawling out on my rock it was very productive for bass. 6 bass in the 30lb range and a friend lost a cow that took him into the rocks big. Blues showed up again at first light so we called it quits.
The fish seem super-powerful the past two weeks for some reason. Had a 30lber that fooled me into thinking she was at least 40 or so.
You guys to points south need not worry, they are coming.

I'm getting on a ferry this afternoon. What this means to those of you who aren't aware is the fishing will explode on the mainland shortly after my departure.I'll get a call tomorrow am from someone asking me WTF are you doing on an island when the fish are right here. Happens every time.
Only difference this time is I'm going golfing, not fishing.
Sharpen your hooks men, its(ferry effect) practically a sure thing..
