you can have multiple operating systems on one computer if the hard drive is big enough but the program that allows you to open either one ain't cheap.

I think I can switch Scott from one system to another on this computor, but I am not going to get into that. I have had it with reformatting hard drives then loading another entirely different OS onto it. I blew out my Millenium and loaded XP pro on the Gateway I just jettisoned and some functions never did work that should have. I will update the Kodak program at Kodak.com I hope. I like the Adobe PS 5.5. I hope it works with Vista. I am leary of pushing an older program onto a much newer hard drive though. My niece will like the old Gateway though since she doesn't have a PC yet.

But like JohnR said you can upgrade older programs to work with Vista.
