they are tricky

with 3 ranges of motion

when you get to the exercise phase ok jim

point your toes east then west |as far as you can
south then north

then rotate foot as if big toe is a thumb
point down to floor (as much as it will go)
this aint twister

then point to ceiling (as much as it will go)

then do rotations - clockwise then counter clockwise
similar to loosening up your neck

don't forget your crutches ...because hopping is bad

Broke my right ankle two winters ago stepping off a icy curb. Landed in the street. Hobbled back tot he house, took my boot off and my foot grew to about twice its origninal size right before my eyes.

It still swells a bit on long walks, and it aches right before it snows, or if it is really cold. Kinda like a built in barometer.

Like everyone said, take it REAL slow, no point messing it up permanantly.
