I was there to day from one-ish till about 2:15. One bird was ever so slightly hitting the water. My new pup was getting a kick out of watching the seaguls for the first time. Friekin parking area by the railroad bridge is a skating rink.

If you guys want action at the Canal, go to Bell Road and park in the upper lot next to the bridge. Back into one of the spaces on the land side, away from the Canal, and you'll get some action in short order
