3.5 max ... 3 is perfect ... it says 5 but I wouldn't.. I have an older one ,, bought blank new .. I've heard cracking noises..

It handles 4 no problem, and I wouldn't hestitate to throw 5 if it was the only rod I had with me, and I needed to throw 5. It doesn't really like throwing 5, but mine's 13 seasons old and still in one piece

To me its a plugging rod .. I use another stick for jigging ..

So around the 3oz. wieght it is. Thanks for the advice everyone and I was figuring basically plugs and maybe eels. Now I just got get it down to M&D's and hope Mike will find time for it, he said he's got about 15 rods ahead of it (probably more now  ).
