Any luck?

Like others, that's my standard fishing greeting.

Here are a few of my typical responses when greated that way:

"No"
"A few"
"Slow pick"
"Not bad"

When someone asks me "any luck", I reply "no", and usually I'm not lieing

I usually remain enthusiastically non-committal

No big deal really and maybe don't read too much into it...

1. Just lie. "Sure, I have been slammin' em for hours. The bite just died. You should have been here 2 hours ago".

2. Tell the "Tool" you work for the Post Office and always "carry".

3. Buy a boat like I did so you can just drive away from all of the "Tools".

"Absolutely! They're towing everyone else, but I walked"
