I hear ya. My point is that every paper has a fishing report section and most name spots and species and have a much bigger distribution than this guy. That's all. I think I have a white rod somewhere in the shed or basement so i take major offense to that comment!

I drove the coastal roads from mid-CT through Newport to the canal this afternoon.
In the words of the great Bill Cosby "Can you put this back? Cause it isn't finished cooking! It needs to cook two, three months!" But the hospital made us take it home."
The water is too cold.
The evil black flying devils 100+ strong were anchored at the canal run, no diving or other action. I didn't bother to look at the run. I could smell the fish in the southwesterly breeze from the top of the embankment.
There was not a fisherman to be found the entire trip.
I was loaded and ready to shoot, but have learned my lesson, the 2nd week in May is the date to target.
Light a candle that the trawlers haven't killed all the bait.

That may be true but internet resources(enterprise webpage) are much easier to get a hold of than going to the store and getting a newpaper or having it delivered. I think there is a better chance that more households have internet than having a new paper delivered. I'm not saying that is the only reason that the canal and other places are being more exposed than it already is, but it doesnt help the situation of having fishing spots overcrowded. That's all I'm saying

You do not want to fish RI until I post again regarding this concern. Sell all your gear real cheap on this site and buy freshwater gear since the FLU doesn't affect ponds or freshwater streams.

I think it might be a good idea to not lump everyone on this site in the same catagory.....and your surely not going to make many friends or get any help with that approach

Don't be so cranky. Lot's of guys here just need to get out and fish and they'll relax. Maye that's what you need to do, too. As for the bragging, I'm the only one who should be doing that. I invented fishing about 34 years ago. No one knows more than me or catches bigger fish. In fact, I'm also very good looking and smart.

I actually quit fishing.I just collect gear and harass people on multiple fishing websites.Soon I will be publishing a new book."Secret Spots of the Real Striper Fisherman in MA and RI ".It will come with a handheld pre loaded gps unit.Maybe then I'll make some friends or $$$.The canal today was loaded with keeper size and up bass one end to the other.Like fishing in a barrel.Get em while they're hot.Was some tuna mixed in and reports of big schools of macks.
