I have many awards, I've been awarded the good fortune to fish with a lot of good and knowledgeable people. 3 or 4, the amount of awards I would have one in various clubs that I did not weigh a fish in because I let 'em swim away.

IN some cases awards might be nice, and some it isn't. Redlite winning OTW S-C AOY out of a thousands of anglers - that's pretty cool. Winning an awarded for larges Blackfish amongst a throng of good blackfishers, cool. Winning an award for largest club scup, well, Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder I guess
