Did very well as I fished mostly rivers until last night. Herring and the stripers that were on them seemed to stay around a lot longer this year. A guy across the street from me who fishes ocean 100% of the time says its his best year ever. I hear him going out every morning around 4:00. He needs a new muffler.

June was a decent month for me. I was able to catch fish in the canal when others decided it was too windy and rainy to venture out. From the boat I would call it inconsistant at best. I wonder how many weeks comm. season will last in Mass this year. Some new techniques and tides at some of the old spots also managed to provide some quality fish for me.With the water temp still below normal I expect July will yield some serious cows for those who fish wisely.

June started strong for me. had some nice fish the first week or so since then it has died right out.I have not been able to get out much lately ether. One or two trips a week in crappy surf don't help things.I think the first half of july will be better if the lighting stops!

Agreed Chris. Waders, a couple dry layers and a good raincoat in the really snotty weather basically assures you the rock and rip of your choice at the ditch. I actually prefer it, less prying eyes, less congestion. Although I'd prefer it if it was blowing and raining out of the SW.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. ~John Buchan
