i would think it would not be worth their efforts i did not think there were that many pogies there , i know i have had no luck getting bait there . they won,t be happy till there no fish left

Nice. The less pogies the better. Hopefully blues will scatter what is left of them.

How you figure that Mike? The way I see it, if pogies are in your harbor/area, you have a much better chance that larger fish are also around looking for them as a meal....

My experience from the surf w/pogies around... If your not snagging and dropping your getting skunked and there not always thick enough to do that.

I'm sure at times that's true but it rarely seems to work out that way for me. My best nights always seem to coincide with reports like this as well as reports of good numbers of bluefish. When boats are killing them on with the pogie bite I feel like I'm always eating humble pie.

Boat was white, name on the side was Intuition, registered out of Manchester ma, got pictures of them yesterday where they were in close to the mooring and shoreline and they will be sent to the DMF, so we will see what happens They were not in there today but I know the last 2 days they got alot of bait in there. They need to go play somewhere else!!!!!

I looked at the chart and their is a sphere on squantum that they can not go past.
So if they were near the mooring field they where is too far!!!

it must not take much for it to be worth it to them. i was up in maine a few weeks ago and there was a small school (maybe 25' diameter) off the beach one day. then next morning there was a boat out there netting them.
