The 'Tail' is where I learned to surfcast, where I learned to respect big water and where I consistently film nice stripers...in fact, I filmed there during the infamous "Perfect Storm" and I can tell you there were some big rocks being tossed up on the shore that day. Hazard Ave was even more impressive. Be safe.

I walked away one night where it didn't look to bad on the approach, not a really rough sea. However, when you got close and started to navigate up and down the flatter areas, the water would roll in and keep rising and rising and rising...

After two times of that - outtie. I got the sense that this is what people mean when they use the term heave. Not sure though.
