The thing you need to realize, which I didn't at the time, is there is a 5 to 7 knot rip running over the bar. That day the wind was SW and the tide was incoming so we had 5 to 7 knots of rip along with a 20knot SW wind and soft sand. Fish the rocks! There are plenty of them. Just before you head out on the sand to the North Point there is a cove called Cow Cove. We use to meet up with a father and son who drove an old blue van and would park there all week. They had a lot of big fish out of Cow Cove including a 55# which I saw in1991.

Anybody got a pic of a map with the names of the spots on it? I googled it but just come up with a generic map of the island.

AND THATS WHY FOLKS THAT KNOW ME, KNOW I SAY WADERS ARE THE DEVIL.... Dave again go to Twin Maples ask john or if your looking for cow cove.. Drive to the parking lot for north light... The cove there from lot to rip is cow cove... As far as other spots.. West beach rd off corn neck rd is marked by a transfer station sign is "the dump" past the station to end bear left parkin lot there park and gives you a BIG area to fish... West side rd.. look for dories cove rd and graces cove rd on your right.. Charelston beach is off champlin rd past new harbor thats the coast guard station location further up rd.. outside old harbor to the north side you have cressent beach to clay head towards the top is scotch beach then opiste direction you have ballards the chute seal cove and then so on and so on.. lol
