Milo,
I have been so thankful since you called me that I missed out on some good fishing. I didn't even see it, and I can't get the thought out of my mind. So glad I wimped out!!
What you guys did for that guy is priceless. Nice job.

I hope he is okay,
I have had flies hit me in the face, never a lure.
I've broken a contact lens after getting hit in the eye playing tennis not fund
I need to wear glasses, I guess wearing glasses I avoid that accident happening to me.

I can't imagine...
I knew a guy who had a duplex nail pop the head off and into his eye. His co-worker said that "goo" was coming out. The surgeons did some miraculas work and he made a complete recovery. I pray that this guy has the same good fortune. Geeze what a bad break....

I so hope this man makes a full recovery.
Talk about irony though, check this out.I have worn glasses my whole life.I have been surf fishing since 1986.I have, for years, cursed the night and the salt spray, rain, etc, for obscuring my vision when I think I need it most.
So I finally got contacts, just for fishing.Today! Now I hear this story and I go back to many nights tugging on a plug.It lets loose and deflects off my glasses.I will still try the contacts but man, does this story have me thinking.....

When I was in the 1st grade I had a dart fall into my eye when I was playing darts... The board was mounted above my head... My eye completely deflated and leaked all of that goo all over my face.... The eye doctor stiched the hole closed and I had to wear a patch for 3 months..... It sucked. My vision in that eye is not so good...

How crazy is that, one of my friends, a neighbor growing up suffered the same calamity, but it was a result of my older brother throwing a dart that ricocheted into his eye off the board ...
But I feel for that guy, don't know how many jigs, flies, plugs, etc. have bounced off my head and body over the years - feel for him.
