Well Known commercial fisherman & certified s[strange [

caught more 49 pounders than the total number ..........But his one & only 50+ was in 1987 in upper Narragansett bay in 5 feet of water ;;
in October .

#^&#^&#^&#^& Sevenigy / also a commercial fisherman & one of the original of 3 guys that were involved with the beginning of the Yo-YO ;

Either still has or had the record for the largest bass in the upper bay ..... He caught a 63+ & had another fish over 50 the same day .in truly the upper bay ;
Also caught in October ;;

My largest & my wifes largest . were both caught in October ...... same week ><>< 1 year apart;;......... hers was in the bay ><><

Personally know of 3 good pals 50 's which were caught on the outer cape after halloween. Wasn't tony stetzko's 73 nov 13.
I always felt the really BIG fish left a little later than the rest.
Just a few hardy lunatics chasing them.

May fortune favor the foolish....

Latest ever for me for anything large would be this time of year.

teaser was a "Black Beauty" tied by T.C.
on what would be considered, antique gear today...
and from what I've been told, the reel was not in the best working order either..
