I have a 30# boga Larry which I bought for freshwater and use it in the salt as well. It is great for controlling fish, but I rarely use it for that. As far as a well made product I still have the one I bought when they first came out and it still looks and functions the same. You could swim with it every day in the salt and never wash it and it wont rust, but it does need to be lubed so that the jaws work properly. Go for the 30.........the 60 is just way to expensive I think, but I still go back and forth about getting one every year.

I use a 30lb on the yak. It's just a more comfortable size to use than the 60lb.
If you just want to control fish at boatside, get one of these. They work great, they're cheap, and they float.

If you do use a Boga, get one of these for the lanyard.
