I think they swim a little better in the surf at a slow retrieve ith a pair of 3/o's but I have some rigged with 4/o's which i think work better in current or heavy surf because they dig more. I'm talking abot the wood version

On the plastic darter I leave the hooks on that come with it. I don't load these either because all I think that does is make them weigh as much as the wooden versions I already have. Maybe I'll do that after they're destroyed. Gotta love the plast versions at the price.

Get some plastic ones. They're completely different the the ss darter.

on the 2.5oz darter, the package recommends 4/0.

saw a few plastic ones at m&d's, man they look really nice, and the price makes them even nicer

Both the current wood and plastic NB bottle darters are quite a bit narrower than his original version.
