There's what, a few hundred guys catching large consecutively every season, yet we're sold millions of lures, books, clothing, seminars, etc. Like lemings, bitches to the system, cuckolded by the industry machine that holds us down witholding the knowledge about how to catch while selling fishermen a bridge with the other hand.

no different than any other industry. Look at musical instruments, tons of magazines, videos, books, gear all with the latest and greatest way to get better, and all it really takes is time, dedication and practice. Same things to be successful in any endeavor.

Doesn't bother me in the least.

I go to the shows and just about all of the speakers are at least entertaining. Some are funny as hell (Al and Zeno). There not twisting your arm to buy their book or product. Gives me something to do in the winter.

Gee, Krispy, almost sounds like you are about to launch a tackle company (again ).

It's tough, I get people all the time saying how the fisher population is doing a disservice to themselves because they have not taken advantage of the "Fisher Widget" and I'm standing in the way of progress because I don't allow them to advertise their "Fisher Widget".

Their are different pain thresholds for different people I suppose. And I also suppose people need to find their own threshold.

but how would you know the "timing" on the water unless you spent time on the water to find that out? Its experience, you cant buy that and no one can sell it to you.
