The boat doesn't have a chartplotter. I'm probably going to get an 1850D too. If I can sell a half dozen of these, I'll almost cover the cost for one - which is my motivation If they stop selling (which I doubt), the last one will be the one that goes in my boat ... And I'll run a seperate Fishfinder (color next year - boat has a Furuno 6100 now) . The model 1850D WITH the fish finder built in is $1800 smackers ...

Unfortunately, we're still a couple years away from doing it PC based for reasonable cost. Right now it would cost more to use a PC than to buy all the units you want
