I grew up on Long Island and if I had to estimate it, 98% of Jet fans are Met fans. Your neighbor may be the first I heard of. Goes back to when both teams played at Shea. Yankee fans are Giants fans.
So you can dislike the Jets because of Mangini and spygate or Mo Lewis knocking out Bledsoe- (but that worked out good for you guys) or just because they play the Patriots- but don't figure that Jet fans are the hated Yankee fans- I hate the Yankees too.
