living in a town that is a swamp is a big disadvantage. got to dig a hole threw the floor and put in a sump pump. Only happens when we get this type of constant deluge, once every 5 years it seems. I usually put extensions on the down spouts to help but forgot to .

We must have had 10" of rain in Shoe City .. Slept. 2 hrs. since,,since,, what day is it ? Both wifey and I bailed all night .. 2 pumps and 2 wet vacs managed to keep 3/4 of the cellar dry . It still coming in .. we fight it back ,, frickin exaughsting .

Us also. I have been in this house 37 years and this is the 5th or 6th time for water in the basement. Always, early Spring and always one of these gully washers.

I wet vaced and sump pumped from 5AM till 6PM yesterday. Finally said screw it. Broke out the Markers Mark and a cigar and sat in the basement and ran the wet vac while I caught a BUZZ

No boat, back in the suds.

Just noticed a piece of roll roofing in the backyard that i know came off the dormer. Some glad i had R.W.Grace --ice&rain-- put on under the roll roofing. No leaks---yet---

They are saying on the weather ,, we got 3 months worth of rain in 3 days ..
