surprise on the end of my line tonight
Not once, but twice this evening, I was surprised to find a 22-24" cod at the end of my line, from the shore no less? I was casting into a nice structure, Castle Rock, but was dumbstruck with these two after a couple 27" stripers.
Been so long since I've caught a cod (30 years I bet) I didn't know what I had at first. Don't remember them being so red in color. Anybody else getting cod inshore? from the beach?
