and this martinez dude - first base. no catchin, he don know anyway to call a game. at least put an earpiece and let tek call the pitches or something.
And just let everybody walk to second, save the arm for knittin

Varitek can't throw either, so you gain nothing with him behind the plate. Teams were running wild on him last year.

I'm pretty sure Tampa Bay had 7 against him in a game last year, a few more base runeers and who knows. I think Crawford had a 4 steal game against him that day....Mike P is right, Veritek can't throw anybody out either.
at least they gutted out a nice win last night.

And the Rangers actually stole 8 off of Veritek/Wakefield last year. Don't get me wrong I was a big Tek fan.....guy calls a great game, but he has been terrible throwing runners out the past few years
