Supposedly a 27-1/2" striper caught here on Cape Ann the first of the season, was caught the other night in the Annisquam River approximately 10:30PM according to the Gloucester Daily times with his picture taken with the fish at home.

From where he caught the fish he takes it home(lives close by) had to take at least five minutes to walk to his house, he gathers his son, wife, the wife scrambles to take a picture in the living room, walks the fish back to the river and claims he had a successfull release.

If the enviromemental police read this story in the paper I would suspect they will be knocking on his door.

We had a clam shell warden once digging in a closed area and a newspaper photograher snapped his picture after sunset walking off the flat with a sack of clams in each hand. Needless to say he was bagged by the enviromemtals the next day with the paper article as evidence.

Should be some nice 30-40's outside the haba and on the south shore late May early June on live macs. Lets hope the bait stays around for a good bit.

Gansett and Canal consistently by the 20th of May.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

Yup.
Maybe as early as the 15th, as evidenced by RT 's 50 last year.,.. coincidentally I had one just shy of the 30 mark the same night....
