I hear you. Usually I'm a mess starting early-May. Thought to myself "maybe this year won't be so bad", then last week came. Allergies still seem to be a little better than years past so I can't complain...

Have only needed to drug up a few times, instead of drugs everyday along with eye drops and benadryl before bed.

With the way this year started, with an early spring with the flooding, the trees are having an explosive flowering session this year. That added with the fact that a lot more tree species are having overlapping blooms, and we have what will be considered one of the worst seasons for spring allergies.

I was out last night and got caught in a pollen "downpour" or "pollen-storm" by a truer description. It looked like a fog bank rolled in over the pond I was at. I was loading my gear when I first noticed it, and then I took my first breath and gakked up a lung. My eyes are still itchy right now, even after flushing them and my sinuses out last night.
The rain we had last night helped clean the air somewhat, but as long as the trees are still flowering, we'll still be suffering.

I used Clatiritan and it never helped me. I now take Zyrtec (Citrizine) 90 pills is $11 at the pharmacy at South Shore med center in Norwell,I also use 1 12hr sudafed with it. You should also try Ponaris nasal emollient, Nasa astronauts use it, and when I get a stuffed up passage it opens it right up.
