Infections from fish can be deadly. Remember a few yrs ago two different incidents involving bluefish. Flesh eating bacteria isn't a joke. Both guys died from organ failure even after they tried cutting off body parts to save then. Simple wound to death wasn't 2-3 days.

Those pliers look like they should have been disinfected before touching the hook. Best to leave it in and cut off split rings to the lure and immobilize the hook. Let the ER folks earn their keep. LOL

Full face shield next time?
