WOW! If you got rid of those look you'd have MAIN ST AMERICA AGAIN. You'd have people that really knew wtf they were talking about in your local hardware store....You'd have a real pharmacy where you didn't get a dit dot filling the wrong damn prescriptions. In a lot of places, the service tended to favor the townies - while the military families (that we so overtly support now) waited like they were second-class filth. Ask my Mom - nobody on the base cried when they went under.
