I go through the trailer each season after I dump the boat in, as long as the tires have air ( new in 08) she's ready... last storm I pulled the boat for was Gloria... she rode out Bob... just fasten and extra line to the starboard cleat and one across the transome and let her ride.. unless the marina says otherwise...

A good run is better than a bad stand!

I will be watching and making my call Wednesday night. If it looks just close I will batten down and add extra lines and chafe protection. But it looks like we'll get a direct hit I will pull.

It's not always the best idea to pull...put it in your driveway and many times a tree will hit you and cause more damage than if you left her in. (This happened to my cousin in NC...he was Hugo'ed big time and his boat was basically broken in two) Also it is common in florida to see boats that were pulled and blocked actually blown over. Now yards are tieing them to the pavement like airplanes.

I may move to a big town mooring and toss a chain from the morring ball to the boat as a backup if the line chafes thru. The only thing you have to worry about are other boats breaking free.
(My guy kicks me off the dock in a storm...it is the one thing I hate about my slip)

Protected coves with a killer mooring is the best but if you have a solid boat shed...now your livin.

This looks like it could get nasty and screw up the fishing for a couple weeks.

Best of luck to you all

You will be fine in Boston. The guys on the south side better haul. We hauled our 35" for Bob at 11.30 in the morning. Came down to see the effects after the storm that night and everything was gone boats, gas house, docks and even the parking lot. Moved into Fairhaven Shipyard the next year.

Me too. Green Harbor is pretty protected.

Looking like you would not want to be on the canyons Friday night
