Matt, it ain't like it was when I was their age. The law is 21 and after those two girls got killed driving back from Countryfest last year, there is no tolerance at these venues with big tailgating facilities. The cops were very fair. Actually gave the kids a second chance to enjoy the show after dumping the mixed drinks they had in the car, and told them to go into the concert area, ie. get out of the lot . That was at 4:30.... They got bored, roamed the same parking lot and started partying with other groups.... The cops came up and the two of them had a beer in their hands. The cops even said to them,"You're kidding me, right? We gave you the chance of a lifetime and you blew it." The kids don't get it, and my two have 3+ years to go. She is still pissed because she "only" had less than two drinks, and doesn't get why she was arrested for that.
And she couldn't go to the show.... Gee... lemme think about that for a minute......
Maybe her summons will wake her up to the reality and the seriousness of her actions. All I can say to you Matt is enjoy the infant, baby, toddler stages. It goes by fast, and gets much more challenging.

The other girl with my daughter was the driver.... and she looked rough when we got there. WTF were they thinking. After driving through the lots to get the others to their car, I will not let my kids go there unsupervised. Disgusting. Trash, cups, broken glass/bottles, overurned grills everywhere. Had to wash the car as there was puke in the wheelwells. (When I went there for Brooks and Dunn, we sprang for the VIP lot, and now know what a good decision that was.)
