I went last week for a few hours...it was a slow pick, water temp was 66.7 deg...still a tad warm. Things have improved in the last week (water temp has dropped to 62.3 yesterday) but I hope to go again after the derby to check it out. I think everything is late this year.
Weather is everything, if it is blowing it can get snotty at the mouth of BB. I will still go but it is not as pleasant because you spend too much time holding on. Last year we had a few epic days...water temp mid 50's...balmy 70 deg afternoon, flat calm, and the big tog had the feed bags on and the comm season was closed...ie we were all alone! I live for these days!! IMO It is better to pick a good day then push a bad one.

I went out with my son monday morning. Tog and seabass where non stop action we got off the water at 1:30ish. Biggest was just shy of 8# and I'm sure there's bigger ones. Friggen shop gave us chitty crabs(wicked small) and cut in half we went through them all useing one hook each.... and a bag of seaclams that the tog wouldn't touch only the seabass. I didn't make it out to the middle of the bay where I would have liked too but the tog fishing is very good.

Tee, if I let you take me out...do you promise not to cut me in half and use me for bait?....Rumor has it that tog don't like bloocrabs, ...it gives them blooba... ..nevermind....
Looks like it's gonna be blowing pretty good. What time would this thing kick off...and where? Or does everyone have radios?
