His attorney actually asked for the Death Penalty so he wouldn't have to face 'an "unrelenting and unforgiving" burden of guilt for his crimes and life in prison would be his worst punishment.'
what a nice defense, maybe solitary confinement would be better.

If his lawyer actually said that, then they'll never execute him, because the sentence will be overturned for ineffective assistance of counsel.
So I hope that the reporter took that out of context.

I actually cut out of the paper, and I have seen it multiple places so unless it was a wire reporter it's pretty much what was said
