Ditching a diamond jig. Even though it didn't produce for me this year I have caught many fish on them in the past. I also didn't use them much this year. It seemed like I only threw them when there wasn't much happening.

Needlefish Hoochie. Hands down the best teaser I've ever used. They come, unrigged, in many, many color combo's and are pretty cheap.
Here is a pic of one. teaser

black mag darter. Its overpriced but it works. Doesn't stay black long. After two fish its half black half see through. Doesn't seem to matter.

something about those supereye mavericks. Honestly, I haven't caught much on them...maybe I just don't use them as my go to plugs, but they cast and swim great. Acutally, I think putting larger hooks on helps the action, as they come with 2/0s out of the package and seem to have too much wobble.

How is a kastmaster underated? It's the gold standard in metal. Only reason I don't fish them is that I like thr p.j. Bros so much. Kastmasters are like bombers. You gotta have a few. Everybody does.
To me the tattoo large swimmer is underated. Greatplug and easy to get.

nothing under rated about sebile magic swimmer, rigged eel, red fins, kastmasters... They are known producers that get mentioned all the time... I think the topic was what lure do you use that produces, but never gets mentioned in books, articles, etc... the unsung heros of the surf. If anything, the sebile was so OVER hyped this year I never used the free one I got from on the water... Hype makes me not want to use particular lures...

after the above reads~~~
i MUST purpose myself to jig&pig, jig&grub, & bucktailjiggit
much more for the 2011 campaign,,,,,,,,,,,,,right situation, i'm prolly missing sum bigguns by not making it an integral part of the offering rotation. John Skinner from around MTK swears by them!! i would suppose that they're Canal Killers as well?
think i'll go old school and use THICK sliced HICKORY bacon as a streamer. excellent thread,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,thanks for the reminders!!!
