High = 200+lb Mola on the tube and worm and getting my 2.5 year old daughter her first fishing rod.

Low = winterizing the boat

High- Going out fishing with my two daughters 16 and 21, one each night, on consecutive nights down Wellfleet in August. Didn't catch one thing but made me feel like a million bucks that they didn't mind spending some time with me, at that age, while on vacation.
Low- Son is still a baby and cant come out with me yet. I talk to him all the time about it though.

Great season overall lots of decent fish all season. Got to fish with a few great dudes from the site. Learned a ton this year and was able to put a lot in perspective. DJ's class really helped me to look at things a different way and get out of some bad habbits. Nothing for me was really a low, I try to learn something from every outing either why the fish were or weren't there.

High: sure was. fishin with a lot of good people, putting approximately a billion miles on my car traveling from boston to the cape and back along the southern coast of ma and ri this season. keeping track of where and when pretty effectively. Delivering fish to people mainly family and cookin up some good dishes.
Specifically one day in september on the cape: perfect weather in the afternoon. t shirt and shades, shorts and water shoes, crazy blue and bass blitz action using my light rod fighting fish all afternoon. watching plugs seemingly explode on the water with my good buddie from high school. then going home and eating what was swimming an hour before. good times

Lows: only fishing on nantucket one day with no success due to a rediculous work schedule. Bustin my balls at the canal in the twilight only to leave for work at 6am before it blew up countless times during mid summer.

my rod exploding in my hands during awesome action with a crazy swell with a fish hooked at my feet.

falling.... a lot. usually in front of friends for their enjoyement

Highs for me would have to be getting a call from ivanputski at 1am to get my a$$ out of bed on that august full moon night.

Thanks for doing that dude. Great memories on that night. Also meeting a great fisherman from NY on BI. Thanks for taking time to share some of your knowledge with me and sending me all those sweet plugs.

Lows for the season I would have to say would be not taking enough trips out to BI.

Overall can't really complain got into alot of great fish and got to fish with some great people.

Good tides and tight lines.

Well now that it is officially over, I can finally give my take.
Was overall a pretty good year for size and numbers.
Due to having to get a real job, fished less than I can ever remember fishin in a season. Put a seriuos hurt on my soul. But when I did get out, I had that lucky horseshoe up my arse.
Fewer and a lot less productive trips to my island this year.
Highlight for me without a doubt was in July, I was at a yard sale in Plymouth with my Dad pickin up a lawnmower when the conversation turned to fishing. The guy said that his elderly father was quite the fisherman back in the day, having won the canal tounament several times. Well this old man skulked out of the shadows and when we got to talking it was incredible to see that twinkle in his eyes reminiscing about days of old of catchin supa cows all the time. Running from Plum Island to Chatham. The life that seemed to be breathed back into him was amazing to witness as we traded old war stories. I told him about never catchin a 40#+ fish in the canal yet, and low and behold, that nite I got that 47# fish that is now sitting on my ping pong table. Was a treat to meet and talk with him as the dread of not being able to fish at free will like I do now sets in.
Was able to make it through the season on limited gear and funds. Operation Live Well was a huge sucess on all fronts.
Managed to stay married (barely)
Spent more time doin other things besides fishin all summer.

Without a doubt the lowest point was helplessly watchin Bob go. Sights and sounds of that nite will haunt both myself and my fishin partner for the rest of our days.

Had some great laughs, times, and heartbreaks over the season fishin with my usual crew (Dan, Tbag, Lucini and even a guest appearence from Krispy and Toby). Disappointed I didn't get Tbag out swimmin and again didn't make it down to see TC on the back side.
Hopefully next year before there are no more years left.

highs would be catching and SELLING my first keeper bass of the season and lows would be only having 6wks to catch kill and sell them bastages.....on bait with treble hooks yoyoing pogieswith umbreller rigs

Biggest high for me this year was meeting and having the pleasure of fishing with a handful of new people this year. All great people and I look forward to fishing with them more next year.
