Last year on May 7th, my first trip, I had 7 fish all around 15-18lbs. I know they weren't large, but it was a nice way to start the season. Across from your rock

Last year it was on fire early, no doubt. By mid May we had close to a week of lights out fishing.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole

Making first canal run one week from today. I can feel it in my nuggets...11:20 east turn...

Does this qualify as an advanced spot burn or do I need to reveal exactly which pole I'll be standing next to???? Is there a such thing as advanced spot burning? Could this post qualify as a new category of spot burn or does a report need to be posted after catching something to qualify as a burn???

PM me the pole numbers so I can make that determination of sportburning or not for you. I may need to complete additional research to confirm spot info against your logbook too - so be a peach and send that as well.

You didn't hear? They're doing away with pole numbers this year in lieu of symbols, kind of like Prince did with his name. They're also gonna give each pole a star rating to make it easier for the newbies. 1 to 8 stars depending on how good the pole is.
