I was there in 2001. I don't know where you're staying but we stayed at Villa Del Palmer on the west side of the Sea of Cortez. At the end of the beach where it goes into the marina there was some guys catching tuna right from the shore. We went into town and found the marina and booked a charter for a full day. He took us out for mahi-mahi and marlin. Had a great time! Caught many mahi with some awesome fighting. Landed several marlin but all small. Somewhere in a box I have cool pictures ( all film...way before I went digital). The guy we chartered also did surf fishing guiding, real cool guy and very knowledgable with the area.
