The only thing with ring free is, if you are going to use it, it needs to be used from day 1... if you use it on an older motor, it tends to swell any carbon behind the rings and thus causes them to bind, over heat the engine and lead to failure...if you use if from day one, this never gets a chance to happen...as carbon does not accumulate..

A good run is better than a bad stand!
