Movies?
Check to see if the theater has a matinee showing, which is usually chaeper. Also check to see if there is a "dinner/movie house".
(That's the best description I could come up with.) It's a restaurant that shows movies. They're usually cheaper admission prices and food is moderately priced, and better selections too!
Sports?
Try the minor league teams. We saw Pawsox, Seadogs and Spinners for a fraction of a RedSox ticket, and consession prices aren't too bad either.
Maybe check out a college or high school game as well?

$12 a head to go to our local games. My kids a junior on the team. Getting sick of paying through the ass on everything lately. And they'
're having a town vote today to spend $4 million dollars on a astroturf field at the the new high school....because they sleazed the vote through on the hs....and nicely left out that there was no fields....that's how they kept the dollar amount low and got approval. azzholios.

You pay to get into the games AFTER paying an "after school" activity fee to let the kid play the sport in some towns. |
