My nephews were talking the other night about a mid-Jan trip on a party boat out of Galilee.

No boat, back in the suds.

Too early for the Block Island run. They usually start around the end of the month.

Island Current leaving 5AM out of Snug Harbor.

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Celtic Quest, which is a great boat, just moved to Montauk Last week. From RI you have a choice of the Frances Fleet from Galilee or the Island Current from Snug Harbor.Edited to add that I just found out that the Seven Bs is also sailing for cod from Galilee.

Friends went on Sunday said it was dogfish central, might want to hold off till the water gets colder to push out the dogs.

Sun is getting high(er) in the sky, water may not get much colder this year! It will be near 60d today.

Recent post on fb: "OTW reader Felix Miranda sent this photo and reported a great day aboard the Island Current out of RI catching a limit of cod and a pollock ."

The bite is starting to pick up, if the dogs are around you have to jig. Water may not get much colder this year, its 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.
