bluefish leaders

I find that I rarely get chewed off with 60-80 lb mono (which most of my leaders are, for the rocks). But when I'm specifically targeting blues, I generally use 18" prepackaged leaders. I haven't noticed any difference in catch rate, and I've had cutoffs when using the 8" or 12" ones. YMMV!

Agreed.
Can't tell you how many times it's the buddy fish trying to steal the presumed meal hanging out of the hooked fish's mouth.
